i posted a problem a couple of weeks ago and got no response. i'm trying again.

anyone out there ever installed both firewire AND a nic on the same system and have them both work?

is there anything i should do first before i install my IEEE1394 card

please someone help me

nevermind, i dug deep into the manufacturer's site and found that other's have had this problem and so i followed the instructions from their website which allowed me in install the card and NOT have it install network driver for the firewire. that left me with the NIC as my network (internet) and the firewire can still be used for connecting video cams and stuff
