Hi,

Recently did complete installation of XP Pro. SMBUS has yellow question mark by it and can't seem to find driver to install it. I tried downloading Chipset driver from Dell Downloads (PC is Dell Dimension 2400). Downloaded it, but can't install it. PC is working OK, except can't connect to other computer in workgroup...is this related?

Thanks, MBW

After complete install of XP Pro drivers for SMBus and Multi Media Controller were not installed and not available...I downloaded chipset from Dell Site...driver for SMBus is in Dell Drivers File on C Drive.

When I try update driver in Device Manager, using Hardare Wizard, even though I browse and select the driver for SMBus downloaded from Dell Site, the wizard searches and searches and finally says that driver can't be installed because can't find software.

Any ideas? Thanks, MBW

I'm not very experienced with downloading drivers, but said files were unzipped when download finished.
