removing Win32.P2P-Worm.Alcan.a [RESOLVED]

I have this worm on my pc, ad-aware found it. But that program can't remove the worm. Does anyone know how to remove this worm?

I have also troubles with starting Windows. Sometimes i get a black screen with only the mousecursor visible, an i cant move the mouse. So i have to restart my pc. Is this the result of the worm?

Hoi Kluupkluup,

The log looks clean now.
Is there anything left to deal with?

If in doubt run an AdAware scan. If it finds any remains of Alcan let me know.
But it should be able to remove it permanently now.

Ad-aware is still scanning. I downloaded also AVG Free Edition, and it seems that there are alot of .zipfiles in a folder i can't reach (C:\Documents and settings\Sybren Ypma\Complete).

It took AVG about 3 hours to scan my pc, and it founded 2650 infected items. It's busy now with healing them.

I made a quick scan with Ad-aware (it's busy now with the full scan), and it seems to be that the worm is gone.

The Complete folder looks like something that could belong to a P2P program.

Are you using something like that?

The downloads are often just viruses in disguise.

Let me know how th AdAware scans ends and if you need any help of course.
