I took some video shots of my son powerlifting and when I download them they are QuickTime files. I want to change them to something other than a QuickTime file!

Can this be done? If so, how?

I'm sorry, I should've been more clear. I can play them as I have downloaded
and installed QuickTime. What I want to do is change them so that friends and
family don't have to go through the trouble of downloading QuickTime to view
them.

So, is there a program or procedure that will allow me to change the format?

Hi Keith,
I downloaded it and installed it .... now I'm trying to figure out how to use it.
It's very confusing for someone who doesn't normally deal with this sort of thing.
I'll let you know if I ever get it figured out.
