I recently started looking for a video card and through a friend of mine I heard about the EVGA GeForce 6800 ultra 256 AGP card. I have seen his machine run games with no problems what so ever, so I thought, Ok I'll buy one too. Well, it wasn't that easy. When I started looking for one I found that EVGA isn't the only company making a 6800 ultra card. So far I have seen EVGA, BFG, ASUS, and I think I saw a XTX or something also. When looking at the different benchmarks they seemed to be all the same except for the BFG which comes overclocked. NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GOT REALLY INTERESTING!

I then saw another video card company claiming to be the better card for gamers. ATI!
So after getting all hyped up about the 6800 ultra now I have to start thinking about the fact that maybe there IS a better card out there for around the same price.
With all that said, I am ready to buy new RAM, a new video card, and probably a new power supply. Now all I need is some great advice about which stuff is most compatible for my needs.
I am a heavy gamer and thats all I am really interested in. Game speed and video quality!

Any and all opinions welcome, I have no favorite manufacturer at this time. Thank you for your time,
