Can't access website

Hi for our class, homework and assignments are posted on WebCT, and unfortunately, I can't access the site from my computer. So lately I've been asking to use my friend's computer to check it, but I'm tired of doing that. I don't want to keep bothering her. Plus midterms are coming up :whistling:

The website is:

and every time I try to login, this error appears:

I already emailed them about it, but their answers didn't help me. They suggested that my ZoneAlarm Firewall has something to do with it. And I can access any other website just fine, it's just this one. I don't know what to do, please help me :blink:

disable ur antivirus/firewall for a little while. if that doesn't work, try using a different browser like Netscape or Internet Explorer. Also, try the http:// site, not the https:// site

ok i just tried all of the above and none work. In Netscape, the error said "The connection was refused when attempting to contact webct.ic.ucsc.edu:4443

Check your internet settings, maybe there is something that the browser settings are picking up and blocking the site.

Does this happen with any other site on a normal basis?
