Im sorry if this isnt very clear but its the best that i can do. In Microsoft Word 2003 i have created macros to open up certain templates, then i put the macros into a toolbar. i can now open and close word restart my computer go to a diffrent computer log on (in the same domain on same user account) and the Toolbar with the template macros are still there. But i want to be able for all users on the domain to open up word and the template box be there. I Have already tried using the ~£fault file which is located in by defualt
C:\Documents and Settings\*User Name*\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP
but it just loads up the normal blank wor dodcument without the macro toolbar i am wanting, so wat do i need to do to make the toolbars be there for other users in the same domain??

Any help here would be greatly appreciated :whistling:

Thanks

Hi Murgy91. Welcome to Geeks to Go!!

After getting all the toolbar just the way you wanted, did you save a new Normal.dot? If not, that's the step you missed. Then you need to either replace the normal.dot on each workstation, or save it to a shared location on the server somewhere and change Word's "User Template" location to that shared folder. If you go that route, you should be aware that your users may get some errors when closing Word that say something about saving changes to the Normal.dot file. I think this is due to more than one workstation having the file open at a time. If you did attempt to replace the Normal.dot file on each workstation, it's possible you didn't put it in the correct folder. Double check where Word is looking for "User Templates" to confirm.

If you did all that and still don't get the results you're looking for, please post back.
