Nice work! :tazz:
  • Download VX2Finder.
  • Double-click on VX2Finder.exe.
  • Click "Restore Policy".
  • In the File menu click "Exit".
  • Double-click on KillBox.exe.
  • In the File menu click "Delete all Dummy files".
  • In the Tools menu click "Delete Temp Files".
  • Choose "Standard File Kill" if not already selected.
  • Paste these files one by one into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.
    • C:\RECYCLER\desktop.ini
    • C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS
  • Click the "Delete File" button which looks like a stop sign.
  • Click "Yes" at the Confirm Delete prompt.
  • It should give you a successful "File was deleted" prompt for each one.
Reboot and post a new Hijack This log.

Well, I was able to perform all but one of the tasks below. The option to Delete all Dummy Files was not there to select, so I did all but that task. When I tried to delete the file desktop.ini, it told me that that file did not exist.

Here comes the lasted output file:

Warning! This utility will find legitimate files in addition to malware.

Very Nice! :tazz: The log looks clean now, we finally got it. Ok now it's time to clear the Hijack This log and everything should be good after that. Download it from here:

http://www.geekstogo...n=download&id=3

Double-click HijackThis.exe after downloading (you may have to extract it from a .zip file first, I can't remember) and scan with it. Please do not remove anything since most of it will be stuff you need. Click "Save Log" and it will create a notepad file. Copy and paste the contents of the file back here and we're almost done! Yaaaay!

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwvovo.exe
C:\Program Files\AWS

Reboot normally.

Please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and Run the Program. Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows. Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and remove all traces of calsp.dll. Reboot normally and post a new log.

Hey there Jonnyrotten! Looks like SQL server problems today. Hope to see you back online later. When you get a chance, take a look at my previous post. I hope this is nearly the end! My system is running much better now. No obvious signs of problems. Let me know if anything else needs to be done.

As always, thanks a million!

Everything looks good to me except I cannot figure out what "Rewards Network" is.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [REWARDS NETWORK] C:\Program Files\Rewards Network\brntray.exe

If you don't know what that is then I would recommend removing this entry with Hijack This and deleting the whole Rewards Network folder.

C:\Program Files\Rewards Network

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)
