Three adware programs (aurareco.exe, thnall1ac.exe, xxobvzjwcd.exe) continue to attempt to connect to a DNS server and I continue to block them with Norton Personal Firewall. I've run Norton Antivirus and Ad-Aware, and have deleted these files numerous times, but they keep coming back! I have no idea what to do. They aren't causing any particular problem right now, I think because I keep blocking them with NPF, but it's a big annoyance and I'm afraid it could turn into a problem.
Also, and I don't know if this is related, but rogue processes continue to activate with different names that seem to be random letters. The latest example is ckxpzsw.exe. I am using Codestuff Starter to terminate them every so often. Also, similar programs occur on startup, which I terminate with Codestuff Starter, such as hqviin.exe with value: c:\windows\system32\uxxzzu.exe.
What is all this stuff? How to I perminently get rid of it all and how do I prevent it from coming back?

OK, I will post the fix now but probably won't get to come back to this until late tomorrow evening. It's getting late here and I have some errands to run tomorrow. The reason I'm telling you this is because for this next fix, you may do the fixes, but DON'T give me the logs unless you can leave your computer on until I come in to fix it. So you may fix it, just don't post the new log unless you can leave your computer on (see below for more information):

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Reboot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key until menu shows up. In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.
Go to Start->Run and type in services.msc and hit OK. Then look for System Startup Service (SvcProc) and double click on it. Click on the Stop button and under Startup type, choose Disabled.

Make sure to close any open browsers. Go into HijackThis->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click 'Kill process' for each one if they are still listed (they shouldn't be - but double check):

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

Reboot into Normal Mode run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here.

2. Open the folder and run FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. It will take awhile so please be patient ...
