Hi,

I just bought a new Dell laptop. Recently, I encountered w the Blue Screen Problem. It occurs several times when I unplugged my USB, installing new program and etc. When i restarted, ths msg appear..

No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

last week it was still under 30 days old...

what shud i do now then??
should i call dell?
or should i send it to the shop i bought it to repair/change?
can i change it? it's over 30 days already.

I'm sorry, I know i did sound stupid but i really2 do not know what to do now...what is the best option??

Sorry for that, however I solved the problem. Uninstall windows update KB973879 the update wrecks the Dell usb drivers. It was installed 8-25-2009. After removal of this update everything will work fine. Thanks.

Try to uninstall said update, first.
Since it's over 30 days old, we can try couple of things.
At this point 1-2 days delay won't make any difference.

i've uninstalled the updates..
however, since the uninstallation my lappy cannot start.
in fact it's been like forever to start..it keeps on restarting..restarting and restarting..and i do not know how to start it..in a normal way..

just spoke to the dell technical ppl.

the girl insist me to run the mem test and format my laptop...
she just told me my problem is common and nothing to do with the hardware..

and while running it, one of the test failed wth this error code..

** Hard drive - DST Short Test **
Test Result : Fail
Error Code 2000-0142
Msg : Hard Drive 0 - self test unsuccessful. Status : 79

now, talking with anthr tech support. grr
