I have run Ad-aware, Spy Doctor and have McAfee (was running Norton when hit by all this, McAfee is now used after the infection).

Several programs seem to not go away and I get a buffer overrun on McAfee when I reboot to remove "PUP" alerts.

Can I do more and get rid of this stuff? I appreciate any help you can give me. I am running Windows XP Professional on an HP pavilliion laptop.

Thanks!

Hi bigbigbig...

Sounds like you have a malware infection...Let's let the malware experts deal with this one.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the Start Here.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

I have done everything suggested on the newbie page. I rebooted and went to Yahoo games and got a pop up for a Casino and for financial services.

I am going to run everything again, but would like to have someone look at a hijack this file for me.

Thanks!
