My PC runs Windows XP and I've been recently having problems shutting down and starting up, and some programs have been running very slowly. After searching through your site I did find one message that might (or might NOT!) be pertinent related to Adaptec drivers. I did a search of Files and Folders and came up with a text document with this message:
The currently installed driver for the Adaptec AAA or ARO series RAID controller is not compatible with this version of Microsoft Windows and will be disabled during the upgrade.
If you are starting your computer from a disk attached to your Adaptec AAA or ARO series RAID controller, you will not be able to upgrade without a driver that is compatible with this version of Windows.
For more information, visit the manufacturer's Web site.
For a list of devices supported by this version of Microsoft Windows, see the Microsoft Windows XP Compatibility List at http://www.microsoft...;sba=compatible.
I'm pretty new to this so don't want to start messing around with things I'm not sure of. Could this be the source of the problems? Just thought I'd run it past you guys before getting myself in even deeper s**t...
Thanks in advance for your help!
