Hi. Don't worry, I think we can do this. I want you to turn all of your computers off. Once that'd done, unplug the power cord to both the router and the modem. Leave them unplugged for about 30 seconds. After that time has passed, restore power only to the router, and let it sit there for about 15 seconds. Next, plug in the modem, and let that sit for about 15 seconds. Now, before we turn the computers on, have a look at your modem and router's check lights. Make sure they look about right. If you don't know what I mean by check lights, or don't know which should be lit up, just skip that step. Proceed to turn on the computers, and see if you get a connection. Good luck

No i can connect. this is what happens. it's connected for like 2 hours, then it decides to disconnect itself from the network thus putting me offline. then it reconnects again and im back on the internet. few minutes later it happens again. sometimes it cant even connect.

Yes, sometimes the internet will cut out. Usually resetting the modem and router help. Sorry if I didn't pick up on the signal, but did you try resetting the modem and router using the instructions I gave?

yea i always do that.

You might try turning off all your security settings on the router... like your wep or wpa just to see if the problem goes away.

You might also change to a higher channel on the router to avoid interferrence <-- spell check that please

You might also make sure that you are using windows WZC as your wireless configuration utility instead of the utility that came with the nic.

You might also verify that you have the latest drivers from the manufacturer of your wireless nic.

You might also make sure there are no IRQ confilcts with the Wireless card.

You might also see if the problem happens with another wireless computer (if it does then the problem is with the router.. if it does not then the problem is with the pc) you can also do this the opposite way by using your wireless laptop and connect to another broadcast like at work or something and see if the problem happens there...(if it does then the problem is with the PC.. if it does not then the problem is with the router)

sighs it's really annoying. im playing a game and surfing a web and it dies. -_- it takes like 5 minutes to find the access point and connect back.

i changed the channel to 11, and now it kinda works fine. i hadnt had any disocnnections.

i only have 2 computers conencted on the netowrk. my laptop and the desktop. when i click clients list i dont see the desktops ip adress on it, and i only see mine.
