Yeah...Aurora. It sucks. I used an uninstall[RESOLVED]

Hi there, and welcome! My name is Kat, and I'll be helping you to get your computer fixed up and on the run again! You may want to print these instructions or save them to a NotePad file on your desktop to make it easier for you to follow each step in order!

1. Uninstall SpywareNuker by going to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. This is a "Rogue" spyware program, meaning it does you more harm than good. For more information see here.

2. Download and install the free trial version of Trojan Hunter here. After installing, check for updates and then allow it to run and clean/remove/delete anything it finds. Make a note of anything it can NOT fix, and let me know the full file path on your next post.

3. Scan the computer here:

Let it do a full run, than copy the log. Past it to a blank Notepad file and save it to post here.

4. Post a fresh HJT log here in a reply after the above steps are done, and also paste me the full Ewido log too...along with any problems you incurred, questions, etc.

Download FindQoologic from http://forums.net-in...=post&id=134981
Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
Open the FindQoologic folder. Preferable to your desktop.
Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
wait until a text opens, post it in a reply to your thread.

Please download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

• Then please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.
• Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.
• Select "Delete on Reboot".
• Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

Congratulations! Your log is clean!
The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.

• SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
• SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
• IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
  
• Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
• Google Toolbar - Free google toolbar that allows you to use the powerful Google search engine from the bar, but also blocks pop up windows.
• Trillian or Miranda-IM - These are Malware free Instant Messenger programs which allow you to connect to multiple IM services in one program! (AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, MSN)
