For awhile now, my laptop hasn't been performing up to its usual speed. If I try to change between different windows I may have open, it tends to stall a few seconds before finally opening the window I've selected. If I type in a web address to go to, a drop down menu for previously visited matches never opens. Many things like this.

I would like to bring my computer back up to speed.

I ran all of the prerequisite scans except AVG Free. Fort some reason it wouldn't install on my computer. The error detailsd were listed as follows:

Local machine: installation failed
Initialization:
Error: Checking of state of the item file link_All_Users_AVGW_Desk failed.
Data error (cyclic redundancy check). (23) %PATH% = "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\AVG Free.lnk"

If you can help me get past that, let me know. Otherwise, I ran everything else and here's the HJT logfile:

;) Hello?

*Edited by an Administrator

Hello! Bumping your thread will not get you helped any quicker, as we look for threads with no replies. Also, we work from oldest to newest, and currently are working on logs that have been posted three to five days ago , sometimes even older. Please be patient with us. We are working as fast as we can without compromising the integrity of our work.

Not a problem. Any assistance is always appreciated. :tazz: But now it's been a week which I find odd as I was graciously replied to immediately with the issues I had regarding my desktop.
