hi,

im new to gtg.

i have recently started learnin java. i have a few queries.

1) is executing a jar file in java the only way to get as close as executing a .exe in C?

2) what do i do if i wanna run my java program in the background?

3) is there a way to catch keystrokes in java irrespective of where i am typing? i mean i may havemy java application running and i might be typing sometext in notepad for example

i hope i get some answers sooon!! :)

By the way im workin on windows 2000 platform

Well, since i didnt get any replies, here r a few more

4) how do i get a drives list in java. like c:\ d:\ ...etc. given a drive i know toget the files n directories but cant find anything to a get a list of drives on a machine.:tazz:
