Have you considered a $5.00 crossover ethernet cable(from any local PC Store) with Windows File share?- Your speeds will be determined by the Pc in question and the capabilities of you LAN card. If you need help on how to set this up let me know.

NOTE: When repeating the steps listed for PC2, make sure you enter DIFFERENT TCP/IP adress from PC1
Example: if your PC1 is 192.168.0.100, then make PC2 192.168.0.101
If you make them the same IP address, they won't connect to each other. Now your SUBNET address must be the same
Example: if your PC1 is 192.168.0.100, then make PC2 192.168.0.101
If you make them the same IP address, they won't connect to each other. Now your SUBNET address must be the same
