ive got a Sony Vio noteboot wit a 915GM/GMS, 910GML chipset family
ive played wit a notebook before and it worked great.. jrm20 plz help

Unfortunately it's not possible to upgrade a graphics card on a laptop.

Do you mean you upgraded your graphics card on your other laptop?

The only thing I can think of is your other laptop had a integrated graphics card that was supported by the game

What were the specs for that laptop? or what was the model?

i installed cod2 and the error DirectX® encountered an unrecoverable error" and opened up the direct x FAQ. I then downloaded the newest version of direct x...still the same error. I restarted my comp and when I try it again, it works..until I start a new game and it goes half way through loading and then crashes to the same error. I even downloaded the nvdia and the same error comes up. maybe it is my comp i have a sony vaio FE series Intel Centrino Duo Core

Please help im really angry

Have you the latest video drivers for you video card? try that if you havent and install them
