Not a show-stopper but frustrasting.

In Win7 have noticed a slowdown (<1 minute per instance) when 'going' to a URL (in FF) or 'Syncing' email (in WLM). Determined that one of the svchost.exe's was taking an inordinately long time to do it's thing and wondered if the time can be reduced.

Associated with the svchost are several services: NlaSvc, LanmanWorkStation, DNScache, and CryptSvc.

Searched Internet but wasn't sure if those services could just be disabled.

Scenario: have a Path-lock switch between incoming Internet and desktop. After being away from PC for an hour or more, switch disconnects Internet from PC, so I click to reconnect ... but ... while Win7 processes the reconnection immediately, I have to wait for about a minute before FF or WLM will handle a new URL or an email.
