Hello, I need help pretty badly. I have a Trojan.Zlob. I have Quarantined this virus (what does that mean?) and the virus is located in C:\My Backup-... it doesn't tell the rest. Now is ''My Backup'' important? And what is it used for? Will it be ok to delete it? And if I cannot delete this item, is there software that I can download of the internet to get rid of this virus? Please help me as SOON as possible.

Thank you very much,

PM

Why don't we see what is going on?

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Thank you,
All that I did was download ''ewido''. This is what it said after I scanned my computer:

12 Infected Objects Found!

Scanned Objects: 300.175
Skipped Objects: 0
Infected Objects: 12
Cleaned Infections: 12
Ignored Infections:0
Scan Started at: 3/4/2006 5:13:39 PM
Elapsed Time: 31 Min 33 Sec
Currently scanning: Scan finished.

is it all gone now?

Do not post here. Finish ALL of the steps in the guide that you were referred to. Do not skip anything unless it tells you to.

Please follow the steps I outlined above and post in the malware forum as instructed. That way you can get the attention you need to get your machine cleaned up. :tazz:
