Do me a favor...

Ouch! Never a good thing...

Do you hear the hard drive spin up at all? Does it make any kind of noise, good or bad?

From how high up did it fall? And was it turned on when it fell?

no, i don't hear any spinning, but after the quick dell load, it beeps twice, and says "Primary hard disk drive 0 not found. No bootable devices--strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for set up utility" and when i retry, it just repeats the same message.

it was off when it fell. 3 1/2 , maybe 4 feet high, on it's upper right corner. it was closed at the time, but now when i open it, it's really loose, and the screen falls down if it isn't in the perfect spot... i have a wireless internet card that sticks out the left side, and part of it popped open, but it was only the end, and it popped right back into place...

thats as discreptive as i can get.......im really frustrated because i was juss about to get everything working right, and now this....... sorry to give u guys more things to worry about, but i would greatly appreciate any help or advice u can give me.

Jeez. That sounds like it got banged up pretty bad.

There may not be much we can do...however, I'm not an expert on hardware problems.

Copy your problem & description and post it in the Hardware forum. That way you'll receive excellent help from one of our hardware specialists.
