java bytever/other problems

Hi, i'm having a couple known problems,i think, im not that knowledgable about computers but im trying to learn because i want to get rid of everything thats slowing my computer down. I went through the antivirus steps already: i ran adaware, cwshredder, spybot s&d, housecall, did a windows update and downloaded service pack 1a, and ran hijack this (and rebooted after every scan). These are the known problems i have:

When i ran housecall online (i deleted norton because i ran out of the trial version) it came back saying i have the java bytever.b virus, and it was unable to be cleaned. none of the other adaware has come back saying i have this virus.

When i restart my computer (im unsure this is a spyware problem but ill list it here anyway) i get these error messages:

1) i get a message saying "do you want to update Motive Smart Bridge AutoUpdate" i always click no.

2) i also get RunDLL error: Error loading c:\program files\wildtangent\apps\cda\cdaengine0400.dll The specified module cannot be found.

3)also get: Windows System Error: a duplicate name exists on the network whenever i get on windows and when i connect to the internet.

Hello! and welcome to our forums.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer. After we are finished with your log file and verified that it's clean, you may turn it back on and create a new restore point.

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

Viewpoint Manager
WildTangent
AWS

Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click "Config..."
2. Click "Misc Tools"
3. Click "Open Process manager"

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following, if present:

Run an online scan at Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com or RAV Antivirus http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan
Please select the “autoclean” option when using Trend Micro.

Post back a new log, report any problems and let me know how everything goes.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE do not restart your computer unless asked, restarting can reinfect your computer resulting in us starting the cleaning up process all over!
