on my laptop i use a microsoft notebook wireless optical mouse and have had no problems for the past 8 months of using it.

just recently i have found that the receiver end is acting up, loosing the wireless connect aspect all the time for no apparent reason, just by slightly nudging the receiver, the connect light goes off and i get the windows message of USB device not found

gets annoying when your scrolling around or doing something with the mouse and you loose the ability to use it from time to time.

i would simply chuck it and use the mouse pad on the laptop, but i spent 60 bucks Canadian when i bought it and thats a waste.

advice?
thanks!

Hi

Based on the fact that you said you receive a windows message of USB device not found, I would say the problem is almost certainly a loose connection in the receiver itself or it's cable.

If you have another USB port on the laptop, then you may want to try plugging the receiver in there just to make sure that it's not the USB port itself thats the problem, but I think you'll find that the port is fine.
