Yikes, that's a lot of ideas and typing.maybe me and you could make a sticky post saying "Network Problems: Viewing files on computers (XP)" and we could put down all possible ways of fixing it
Most networking problems have to be taken on a case by case issue, at least in my experience. Don't get me wrong, there are some "basics" so it might be a good idea to start there. Feel free to make a suggestion in the GeekU forum, but I'm not sure how much time I could devote to it.
