I was going to burn a couple of CDs last night when I realized that my computer no longer will burn either data or music CDs. I also tried to watch a DVD and was given an error message that my codecs are missing in media player 10. When I tried to burn CDs in media player 10, I was told to search for services.msc and look for a certain program (I don't recall the exact name now) but the device manager did not show the program it should have. What the heck is going on? I had no problems using both programs a couple of months ago. Any suggestions short of a complete system restore of my OS? (By the way, I can still listen to CDs in media player 10).
