Yes I was able to ping both computers, when all firewalls were turned off.

then you should be able to share a folder (right click, share) and share files

You can also right click the printer and share it, too

If you want to use a firewall still, disconnect your router from the internet, install a fresh copy of the firewall and allow all incoming connections during the training period...after a couple hours of sharing files and printers, and after the firewall has learned what to allow and not to allow, then reconnect to the internet and only block new attempts
