Changing a quicktime video into a windows media type format?

Im really retarded when it comes to computers please help me!

Heres the deal. My computer never came with windows media so I couldnt edit my videos. SO I decided to download it. Now my vidoe is in quicktime format. For windows media it has to be in asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

Of course quicktime isnt in any of those. Does anyone kn ow how to change it into one of those?
