Is it possible to remope Windows Defender as i have McAfee and this is telling me exactly the same as windows defender but it starts up with windows everytime even after taking it from the startup list. I have tried going into Add/Remove programs and it was in the list but there was no button to remove it.

Try installing Windows Defender again then uninstalling it through add/remove programs.
