I'm new to windos xp (just got myself fairly educated in ME). l downloaded some comp files from an e mail. I think I may have hit the cleanup button. Now they are nowhere to be found. Help-please tell me I did not erase them. I think they were downloaded to the default whatever (desktop).

If you still have an e-mail with the link, click one to download the file, click save then note the location, chances are the rest have gone there
