Ok, so for some reason my Cd drives, which are a LG CD-rom CRD-8522B and a SONY CD-RW CRX175E2, will not read any cds that I put in them.

They just suddenly stopped working and I have no idea how to fix it.

Could someone please assist me?

Welcome to G2G, sorry for the delay in replying to your topic.

Can you please tell me the following :

1. Did anything happen or was anything changed (software or hardware) just before this problem started occuring?

2. Have you checked that both optical drives are still detected by Disk Management & device manager and in the bios?

3. Have you tried a range of different CDs including non copied CDs?
