my sons pc is all messed up, things dont work on it I honestly have no idea what is wrong with it. Programs wont work on it nothing. Where should I start to diagnose things?

Well you can start by uninstalling all the programs that dont work, and then re-installing them. What OS (Operating System) are you using??? I see in by your name it says XP and you have posted this in ME, 98, 95 forum. What OS is your son using???
