I bought Norton Antivirus 2005 and am trying to install it from the disk. I keep getting "error message 1722 problem with windows installer package". I have been out to window and tried to find any help. NO luck. I have windows 98 on my computer. Any help or suggestions from anyone would be apprieciated

I've heard that Norton 2004 and up is not compatible with W98. Your better off with the free version of AVG or Avast anyway.....

I'd like to say, "I'm using the free version of AVG and am totally pleased with it". It's a great av. It was recommended by a friend and was one of best changes I've made to my system. I was previously using NAV '03 and had had problems with it the entire 5 years I used it. Great suggestion in MHO.
