Windows 98 problem

Hey. I am having major computer problems, I swear computers hate me. It has windows 98. Anyway...ive had this computer for like 3 years, and about 2 mo. ago my friend installed ad aware on it. well...it said it found like 1000 problems or so, then when we restarted it, it will go to the screen to put your password in, then nothing comes up, just my wallpaper, no icons, no task bar...nothing. I have no idea what to do and how to fix it. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it, thanks.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
