I've run the course of fixes that I've found on this site and online (ie, About:blank fix, CleanUp!, CWShredder & AdAware) plus running Hijack This. Everything will look nice and clean and fixed and the 1st time I open IE I get to my homepage (Google), but then within seconds will get a pop-up and the next time I open IE I'm back at About:blank....I know I'm missing a file somewhere to kill this bugger, but I can't find it.

Here is a current HijackThis log. Computer is obviously infected with About:blank again.

TIA!

Hi floreksa and welcome
If your still looking to resolve this issue,

Download AboutBuster
Then Unzip it to your desktop.. Dont run it yet
Check it for updates if any are found please download them then close out the program

Download and install Cleanup

Also
Dowload the following program
CWShredder
It should be the current version, but check for updates
Dont run it yet

Please download and install Ad-aware.
Setting up Ad-aware- please make sure you update it first

Download and unzip cwsserviceremove to your desktop from the link below:
cwsserviceremove.zip (save this to your desk top dont do anything with it till told to do so)

Have all these tools updated and unzipped to your desk top ready to go,

More importantly
The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
