does anybody Know any thing about earthlinks firewall and how to configure it ? I am constitlly getting alert windows that my pc is trying to connect to this computer or that computer and I don't know wich ones to block and wich ones to allow.

as a general rule, computers are always talking to each other....you train the firewall to remember what you want it to allow and block

There should be some mechanism to BLOCK and ALLOW and "REMEMBER THIS ACTION" on these alerts

As to WHAT to allow, you need to tell us what is attempting to do what to whom.
