I was looking at my user accounts to try and correct a problem I'm having and saw an account that I don't know what its for(see attachment). Can someone tell me what this is and if its safe to get rid of this account.

This account is created automatically when you install the 'Microsoft .NET Framework' which is required to run some applications (for example the 'DirectConnect filesharing application), though Windows XP itself doesn't need it and neither do any of the built-in applications. If you uninstall the .NET Framework, the account will be deleted but any program which needed it will no longer work.
