Windows doesnt save before restart.

i have a problem, like when i shut down my pc, my quick launch bar dissapears, the next time i start the windows again i must put all the icons to the place where i like. like the windows doesnt save my prefences. if something was not understood let me know :whistling:

why dont you try creating a new user and see if it saves your user preferences.

but then il have to move my things from my account to the other account? or what? i want that it would be exactly as the same as it was. is it possible then?

try saving a short cut to what you want in the quick launch bar to the following location ( you will need to show hidden files to get here, to do this open up my computer and click on tools, then folder options, then the view tab, then check the "show hidden files and folders" box...remember to undo this once you're done) C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch (where <username> is your current user account) then try restarting and see if it stays there
