i got a hard drive installed in my computer. the person who installed it partitioned the drive into 2 drives. now my computer only lets me use one side of the drive and wont let me access the other. the error message says " the file is corrupted and unreadable." I can still use the other drive and store things with no problem. any guesses anyone, please??

Did the second filesystem ever work?

It could be that the machine was turned off without properly shutting down the machine.

You could try using either scandisk or chkdsk (not sure of which is on your system) to check to see if the filesystem can be repaired.
