New member here and I definitely could use some help. My pc has been hijacked by about:blank and I can't get rid of it. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I've been reading the steps to follow so that you can better help me. I'll have the Hijack This log posted shortly. I'm relatively new to this so please bare with me.

I hijackthis log is exactly what we need, just remember to post it in the right forum. Post it in this forum:
Malware Removal - HiJackThis Logs Go Here
When you have posted the log through a Geeks To Go Staff Member will help you fix your problem.
(Note: Please be patient, the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.)
