Hi Guys,

I have been having problems with images not showing on IE and Firefox.

Sometimes they will show and most times they won't. but they show on my
daughters computer OK. Also I have had a similar problem
with logging in to a tracking script I'm running on my laptop. Again sometimes it's OK and
other times it's not.

I noticed this the other day on another login screen on my laptop and wondered if this might have
something to do with it. c:\windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm

I tried to flush the dns cache but I got a failure error. below is a copy of my registry done thru
Hijack. Maybe someone can see the problem? Many thanks. Steve.

Hi Jerryf

Thanks for getting back to me. I cannot see any images at all in the white main page
section of this web page. There should be 4 images of dalmatians.

what about the picture with the dog, mother, father and two kids?

The interesting thing about this is that the four images you cannot see are all LINKS, and the other image is just a photo

Any other pages? (so we can corroborate this)

Hi,

Yes I can see the dog family top left. On this page (link below) I can see dog family and Chihuahua at the top with blue and red toy. But again I cannot see the thum nail of Chihuahua half way down on left.

Chihuahua

Originally because I couldn't see them I changed the links and src from eg Chihuahua.html/ and src" Chihuahua.jpg to http://www.mysite.com/Chihuahua.html and full path for src as well.

It was OK for a brief while I could see the images and they worked fine but came to view
the page/s again a while later and I couldn't see them again?

Best.

Hi again,

The following c:\windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm was displayed
on my address bar at the bottom of my Google Adsense login page.

When Google were down the other week for maintenance and then came back.
I noticed that now there is no address bar showing at the bottom.

And if I go to the dog site first then I can usually see the images.
so it looks as though it's something to do with this particular window or Google?

The thing is I now have 3 wordPress blogs on the go and if I go to one of the blogs straight away
then I can access it. But only one.

I have to reboot everytime I want to go into one of the other blogs when I want to write
something. I cannot seem to login. I just keep getting asked for my username and password
I put them in but it keeps asking me for them again.

So like I say I have to reboot and then go to the blog first and usually it's OK then .

Can you suggest my next step to try and fully sort this.
It's a bit annoying not having the bottom display bar but I suppose it's better to have the other stuff working instead?

Steve

Hello, Just curious if you were able to remove the res://c:\windows\system32\shdock.dll/dnserror.htm problem . I can't remove it from my main computer because it won't let me go onto the internet to download SpyBot. Any suggestions?

The kind people at Virgin help line sorted this for me in about 4 minutes after I had tried all day to sort it.

follow these simple steps

Start>Run and type services.msc and click ok
In the list look for DHCP Client. Right click and choose Stop
Then right click DHCP Client again and choose Start.
Then look for DNS Client. Right click and choose Stop.
Once again right click DNS Client and choose Start.
Double click your Internet Explorer button and all should now be working

Hopefully this will help a few folks out. Good luck.
