Hi,
This is the first time I have used the forum so apologies if I get some stuff wrong.

I am running XP Pro on an Athlon 1Gh, with 756mb of ram.

When I run AOL9 it often stops responding quite quickly and gives the message AOL not responding.

I close the AOL programme AFTER WHICH NO OTHER PROGRAMMES WILL LOAD (the hour glass symbol comes on for a few seconds then goes off without loading the programme).

I then have to reboot using the ON/OFF switch.

I have followed AOLs suggestions by clearing the browser catche, rebuilt the AOL adaptor, done a quick restore of AOL 9 and cleared the tempory internet files but the problem keeps recurring.

Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Cliff

Do you have the latest version of Internet Explorer?

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
