Try using Disk Cleanup from System Tools to clear out the temporary files...this error is sometimes related to low disk space.

Click Start, point to "Programs", then to "Accessories", then to "System Tools", and select "Disk Cleanup". Run this utility and then try to install the MSN Messenger.

No need to be sorry, Muggins...it's not your fault these people can't get their act together... :whistling:

Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS. Right click on the folder "InstallTemp", choose "Rename", and name the folder "InstallTemp2" (just add the 2 to the end of the name).

Then locate the file "x86_Microsoft.Windows.Networking.Dxmrtp_6595b6414 4ccf1df_5.2.0.4868_x-ww_212f7d9e", right click on it, and rename it to "x86_Microsoft.Windows.Networking.Dxmrtp_6595b6414 4ccf1df_5.2.0.4868_x-ww_212f7d9e2" (just add the 2 to the end of the name).

Try to install Messenger again.
