It worked when i restarted the computer and right clicked on setup.exe then selected "open". But as i was following the steps on the screen, i only got to the point where i had to select a connection (how the printer is connected to the computer - usb, parallel...) then it stopped responding. How do i get past this point?

Not too sure this will help but give it a try.

At times when i want to get o add n remove programs i go to........

start menu .......all programs.............find program guess in your case would be your printer..........

either it has an uninstall when you move your cursor on it................or try to delete it and it might refer you


to add n remove this program..........that should be underline in blue click on that it should take you to your


add n remove programs then try to remove it.

Go to this directory (or the equivalent) and delete the .SHD and .SPL files.

This corrected the issue for me in the past.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS
