Oblivion doesnt work

I bought oblivion recently and it doesnt run well, even though my computer already passed all of the minimum requirements and some of the reccommended ones on this site here http://www.systemreq...referrer/srtest

When i get into the main menu there is a slight delay but once i get in game it is completely unplayable. Does anyone have any idea as to why it isnt running well?

Here is my system

Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.60GHz
1023 MB of Ram
Nvidia Geforce 5600 with 256 MB of ram
Direct X 9c
16X DVD drive

Is it on low settings, there are a number of conflicts with FX series gfx cards, check out the official forums for a number of fixes you can make to the .ini file that should get it to run properly.
