Hi

After I reinstalled my operationsystem i found that it didn't say DVD in "My computer" and when I tried to burn DVD's I was only able to select 4x as speed.

I wonder what the problem might be cause I know that my DVD-recorder (NEC DVD-RW 3520A) shall be able to record in 16x and the DVD's I bought (Fujifilm DVD +R, 1-16x) are also for 16x.

The program I use to make DVD's is Intervideo Disc Master 2.

I hope you can help me and I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

I'm guessing it's related you your burning software. Some software has free or time limited versions that limit the burning speed. Could that be the problem? Do you have any other burning software that you can try?

I have the exact same model and in Explorer it is listed as "DVD-RW Drive (G:)".

If you don't have Nero, Roxio or Sonic software, you might try the free CDBurnerXP Pro.
