Hey, I recently had a virus/trojan/ something and got rid of it. I rebooted and my Windows Fonts are gone. The Internet is fine, and I can use MS Word, but I only have 2 fonts (FranklinGotDCon, and the jibberish one) But the desktop icons' fonts are not displayed properly. So is there a CD that came with my laptop that I can install to replace the files I lost? Will System Restore work? Thanks for the help in advance. :whistling:

Hi jayday...

Click Start, then Run, type c:\windows\fonts, and click "Ok". Are your fonts still in the Fonts folder?

If they are, open "My Computer" and click on "Tools" on the toolbar and choose "Folder Options". Under the "File Types" tab, scroll down to "TTC" and "TTF" and click on them. If they aren't set to open with Windows Font Viewer, click the "Change" button and select it from the list. Should it not be in the list, browse to it at C:\WINDOWS\system32 and select fontview.exe..."Apply" the change.

Reboot and see if your fonts work properly.
