With a laptop you are going to have an awful lot of trouble doing that, you might try Toshiba see if they can send you one assuming you can actually remove it yourself that is, they arent easy things to fix often manufacturers are the only ones that have the correct versions available for the laptops. one thing is usually for certain its not going to be cheap.

Be cheaper to send it in by a long shot.
How do you know the problem lies with the motherboard? It could bew something else that would be a heck of a lot easier to fix....

I contacted toshiba and they gave me a place called spareparts warehouse.
