Activex and ie.

When I go to certain websites a box pops up. It says.....click to run an activex control on thes page. I click ok and then a box comes up that says.......ie encountered a problem and nees to close. Then another box pops up..............iexplore.exe app error the instruction at 0x25538ae referenced memory at 0x0263e410 the memory could ot be read click ok to terminate. I click ok and then an end program box pops up I end the program and every ie page closes. Any ideas?

Start with a visit to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
