Hi I am having problem in Belarc advisor, installing is not a problem, I have tried a few different version and all seem having the same problem v7.h and t. After it scan and completed a popup >" belarc error : C:\ program files\belarc\advisor\system\tmp\(my login name).html. The archive is either in unknown format or damage." What does this all mean. Please help me solve it. My OS XP Pro SP2.

I am sorry I do not know what you mean. What I wanted to know is why this application behave this way I have used before a older version the result will display automatically into the browser. Now I have to drag the result scan to the browser to have it display. There is nothing particular piece of info I need it, as it will automatically gather all the infos from the computer and display it in the browser. I do hope you don't get annoyed.

He means what do you need so he can give you something else that does the same, it could just be a bug in the app and those are hard to fix sometimes. I prefer pcwizard or everest to belarc though myself.

Have you tried reinstalling the program or an older version.

Not at all, I was curious because there are other programmes which do this, depending on what you need to find out

Download and run this, choose run

http://www.psdu506.d...uk/WinAudit.exe

Click audit, this takes 2 minutes, click save, save to my documents, click the right frame file

Let me know if this does not have the information you need

As for Belarc

Uninstall it then run through this, then re-install Belarc

Items in blue which are underlined are clickable to give more information about the process

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up, then from system tools, run disc defragmenter.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter, you need the XP CD and Windows File Protection will show a blue onscreen progress bar, when the bar goes, reboot

Download and install Tune Up 2006 Trial

Run Tune Up Disc Clean Up

Run Tune Up Registry Clean Up

Click Optimize and Improve to run Reg Defrag, which will take a few minutes and need a reboot. You should disable the antivirus programme to run this and check it is running after the reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to optimize the computer, select computer with an internet connection from the drop down menu, this also requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to accelerate downloads, select the speed just above your actual connection speed, this requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to run system advisor
