Hi jae_jae! Welcome to G2G!

Windows XP Explorer has a 'feature' to provide a preview in the Details box on the left of the file you have selected, if it’s supported. Image files, HTML pages, video clips, MP3s, etc are all previewed (even with the folder view open).

If you have a large movie clip and it either is corrupt (ie. no index from a partial download) or it uses an unsupported codec, then Explorer tries to load the whole file. This can slow your computer a lot and prevent deleting/renaming/moving/etc the file until it’s finished.

Simply do the following:[list]
[*]Go to START-->RUN and type regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll and hit ENTER.
[*]A window will pop up saying that the file has been unregistered successfully. (If you don't receive this window, or the window gives an error, then please post that in your reply.)
[*]Reboot your computer and see if the problem persists.

it said unregistered successfully ...but IS THAT PART OF THE DR WATSON THING?? umm...i also installed this program called TuneUp ...something 2006 and ran it and i read it was spyware and i couldnt download from the webpages, it made my computer faster at first but then it wouldnt go anyware .. so i deleted it and it put pretty much every file i ever had on my computer back on it. is there a way to delete them again other than doing it manually?....it takes forever and i dont know every file. lastly...by looking at that log would u be able to tell me if there is any type of keylogger on this computer? this would be greatly appreciated if u could

When you got rid of the tune up program, did you uninstall it or delete it? FYI, Dr. Watson is part of MS Windows and provides info detailing errors and other oddities. It is quite useful, so don't try to disable or uninstall it. It is not causing the problem, Dr. Watson is reporting it.

You have a lot of stuff loading at boot, which will slow your system down a great deal. Mike Lin's StartUpCPL will put a tab in your Control Panel to allow you to select what you want to run at start up. For example, you don't need Java to check for an update, you don't need AIM, Yahoo, possibly your printer, etc...
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

It would also be a good idea to go to the Malware Forum and run through these steps, post a log over there and get certified as "clean" by an expert.
